I haven’t looked back since, as we’ve learned so much and had so much fun along the way. I am breaking down barriers and starting to work with designers to help them understand that we still need shape, and style is all important. At Tia-Tia we really understand this and our mission is to ensure that the same dimension of choice, quality and value is on offer for women who don’t fit the stereotypical fashion mould. Something had to change and I knew it wasn’t going to be me! I left a very successful career in Media and Public Relations to follow what had now become my dream - bringing stylish clothes in bigger sizes to Gloucestershire. In 2006 Tia-Tia became a reality! I have a fantastic team in the shop and we all have years of retail experience and know what will work. Someone is always on hand to give you all the help you need with honest advice. You can also request a private appointment with me where we take time to find out what styles suit your shape and what colours work best for you. My name is Esther O’Reilly-Cain and I set up Tia-Tia out of my own frustration of not being able to find clothes I liked or fitted me on the High Street. I used to be a size 12 and at 5ft 8in tall, buying clothes was really easy – and fun. I could wear anything I liked. But when I was 30, I developed a Thyroid condition and rapidly gained weight – in less than a year I went up two dress sizes. I had to adapt my style as my shape changed and what frustrated me most was that so much of what I liked was not made in my size and what was started to resemble a tent!
